The client brief was to design a modern home that provided the spaces that a young family require.  A key client requirement was that the proposed design sat comfortably within the traditional street scene whilst providing light airy contemporary spaces that maximise the views of the adjacent river. Constructed of facing brickwork and render sash windows were added to the leading elevation with large format aluminium glazing specified to the rear. A large glazed garden room extending to the back of the kitchen affords uninterrupted views of the river and countryside beyond. A first floor viewing gallery give further opportunity to drink in the outstanding views/surroundings.
